Toy Balloon are a shoegaze/electro party band with a live show that’s both infectious and totally sincere. Having supported international indie sensations YACHT, Holy Fuck, and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Toy Balloon have crafted a niche in the Australian dance/rock crossover scene al of their own. Their unique sound references a diverse range of influences, including Daft Punk, New Order, Mogwai, Boards of Canada, and LCD Soundsystem.

Toy Balloon’s debut album ‘Toy Division’ features nine tracks of fractured electro-pop disco jams, and was released nationwide in mid-2009 through Lofly Records. Critical acclaim from online and print press followed, along with rotation of the singles ‘Kids NY’ and ‘Broken Little Nothing’ on FBI Radio. The album also sat on the 4ZZZ Top 20 for 11 weeks between June and November 2009, evidence of the grassroots support the band enjoys.

2010 has seen a spate of live shows and a new album under construction. Toy Balloon is a bubble far from bursting.
