Lofly Hangar was run as a DIY live music event between 2007 and 2010, in a warehouse in Red Hill, Brisbane. Over 3 years it earned a significant place in the hearts of Brisbane music fans, and became a sought after gig for emerging bands and artists. The parties were BYO, happened once every few weeks, and played hosts to most of Brisbane’s finest as well as national and international luminaries like Ampere, Mick Turner, Mt Eerie, Clue to Kalo, Kid Sam, Jamie Hutchings, TTT, Rat vs Possum and Underlapper.
For a bit of history, here are some accounts of the venue’s glory days:

After over 100 shows and a few too many noise complaints, we sadly put an end to the Hangar live music events in December 2010. However we continue to use the space for rehearsals, recording, parties and events.
If you are interested in using the Hangar warehouse space for your event or project, outline your ideas in an email to admin (at) lofly (dot) com and we’ll see what we can do for you.
